We take students, teachers and carers on a life skills journey together
At Life Ed we believe prevention is better than cure. And in a world of constant change, education plays a critical role in equipping students for life. That's why we reimagine education to help every young person we meet have the life skills they need to thrive.
Saving young lives since 1982.
We come from a history of pioneering prevention strategies in drugs and alcohol education.
Our founder Ted Noffs worked on the streets of Kings Cross through the Wayside Chapel, and witnessed the devastating effects of drug and alchohol abuse in the lives of young people on a daily basis. He was convinced that Australia needed a national health and wellbeing education program to empower children to make safer and healthier life choices.
We continue to innovate through our Student Agency Program
Today, Life Ed works closely with the Department of Education, Victoria to launch effective programs. Our most recent is the groundbreaking Healthy Harold Heroes program, based on 4 key principles:
Amplify Student Voice
Amplify Learner Agency
Build Teacher Capacity
Developing Life Smart Kids through a child centered, life skills approach.
